PHOTOSHOP AND ILLUSTRATOR PROJECT

I've written this post on a Friday but I'm posting this on a Sunday.
So this is actually a little throwback post! Hahaha! This post really
mean so much to me that's I was writing this beforehand because
I don't want to forget a detail about that time. And it's a bit long
so it's gonna need your time and patience to read this! But just to
let you know, it'll mean so much to me. So here the post ;

Friday, 22th July 2016.

Today is Friday and it’s my Graphic Design’s assignment due date.
I’ve been doing this assignment for two weeks now.
To be honest, at first since I’m not familiar with Adobe Photoshop, I
really feel like smashing the whole computer. I know it’s very
violent of me but you don't know how pissed I am during those time.
But learning and practicing is the way to get hold of Photoshop,
so of course I need a lot of help and guidance to learn. This is a great
opportunity to thanks my amazing and so very patient friends,
Tung Tung and Shereen. You really did bring me great help and
very calm at teaching an amateur like me. Even though both of you
will probably never read this post, but I really like to thank both of you.
I’m so grateful and thankful to have friends like you guys!

So, let’s talk a little about my assignment topic. This topic is to

create a movie poster with the use of Adobe Photoshop and
Adobe Illustrator. Obviously this is to test our skills in using both of
these programs and have widely we can actually make use of it.

We were required to sketch 6 different pictures on paper, just a rough idea
on what do we want to do for the movie poster. There were a few ideas but
at last I chose the sketch and well, my lecturer Ms.A chose it as well because
she said it was cute and creative. It’s called “FINDING CHICKABOO”! Why
I had this idea is because FINDING DORY just came out and I really love
that movie so that how my idea came about. But I had to find a different
animal to replace DORY, so I suddenly thought about ChickabooJust
in case if you don’t know who Chickaboo is, it is an ostrich that went
viral because it suddenly appeared on the highway - running. That’s how
it went extremely viral. So, FINDING CHICKABOO was born

(insert FINDING CHICKABOO SKECTH)
(actually I don't know where my sketch has gone!)

Started two weeks earlier because I don’t know how to Photoshop
hahahaha! It’s so rare that I would start to do my assignment that
early. You should cherish it, Ms.A! By the way, Ms.A is one of the
kindest lecturer that I know. She is so patient to students and
willingly helped us when we face problem with the
programs. I love you, Ms.A! All that I said are true from the heart.

Long story short, did a lot of  mistakes no doubt but learned from it.
I kept changing my ideas along the way. This minute, a landscape
poster. Another minute, a portrait poster. This second, wavy pathway.
Another second, straight highway. I was about to make myself go crazy.
Then finally decided on a background that is more illustrated and
use like a gunshot to aim at Chickaboo to have like an animation/
mystery vibe to my movie poster. My friends said it looks Looney
Tunes themed. It does have that kind of vibe to it. A little wild wild
west, cowboy-ish, desert feeling to it.  So my poster turned out like this.

(insert FINDING CHICKABOO POSTER)
(actually I can't open my file because it's not in jpg. zzz)

Now let talk about the MAIN MAIN MAIN topic of this post hahahah.
I would really like to thank you (N) for helping me on my movie
poster from editing, moving stuff, arranging till printing. You were
helping me from the start of today when I was doing my assignment
till the final printing process. I was so happy, thankful, grateful and
touched. Every time I think about that moment, I feel butterflies in my
stomach. I feel thousands of knots in my stomach. I will suddenly
smile too and then break out into a laugh. That is why I want to
remember each and every moment through writing it all out. When I
asked for your help, you were so willing to come and help me. And the
way you work with Photoshop and Illustrator. You were so fast and
efficient. You know what I was thinking, how I want to do it and what
I wanted to do to my poster. You are definitely good at what you do
no doubt.

For that moment I think you were very manly and hahah, you were
just very good-looking even without having to look at your face.
You helped me to arrange my fonts and wordings. You helped
me do all the necessary settings needed before printing. You showed
me that I need to do this and this and how. I was so thankful and
so happy that you were there.

Then when I have printed my poster, it looked really nice, well to me
at least. Then you keep teasing about FINDING CHICKABOO.
You used those weird voices and said “FINDING CHICKABOO” in
a very funny voice. It made me can’t resist but to laugh out loud!
Hahah! You are so cute. When he (KJ) asked whether my movie was a
horror one, then you answer “YES!” then said “FINDING
CHICKABOOOOOO” in that funny voiceof yours again. Awww.

You are so cute. You kept teasing about it and it made me laughed so
badly. Then you were shocked when I told you that I draw CHICKABOO
myself. You kept turning to face me today and my heart was beating
so fast you don’t even know. Then when I told you that our assignment,
need to burn into a CD, you asked me to help you buy one. Hahaha.
I know it’s really stupid that I’m remembering all these detail
but my mind just can’t forget it because it’s about you. Then after
almost everyone presented and everything you were waiting for your
turn to present then Miss.A said you did a good job but during your
presentation halfway, I left cause I don’t want to look obvious.

After that, you were packing your bags and ready to leave. Then
I was standing at the path in the middle, then you stood up and
walked nearer to the door and then I was really hoping that you
will say goodbye to me. But then I saw you are nearing to past me.
I was a little disappointed and then my heart dropped but then you
hold my arm and then you said goodbye to me. I was so happy,
I was screaming inside. Then, I said goodbye to you too.
Now that moment is engraved into my brain, I can’t let it out
hahahah. You were such a sweet guy today and
thanks for everything (N). *HAPPY FACE* *HAPPY FACE*

p.s just in case you are reading this now (N), no it's not you.
I'm gonna tell you that the (N) is not you,
if that's what you want me to tell you..

A Passion for Photography

Nowadays, all people like to take pictures. It had became an international hobby loved by everyone. What is not to be loved about photography? It a simple hobby and doesn't require much. Some people might disagree with me. Photography needs a lot of equipment. Photography need to see the right timing. Sure, but it depend on your own perspective on Photography. Some people can use an iPhone and take amazing shot. Some people can use a digital camera and take outstanding shot.

I'm one of those people who uses their iPhone and digital camera to take pictures which to me, are quite well taken too. One, I could not afford like DSLR camera as they are really expensive and need to have high maintenance. Two, my own perspective of Photography is that I can take pictures easily, no stressing so what. Three, my phone and my camera is with me most of the time and since I'm writing a blog now, I need some pictures. Pictures are the easiest way to express all the things you have to say. They say "A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words". They are right. At the same time, I would able to keep these blog post as memories. In a few years time or maybe a few months time, I would be able to look back at what I wrote and taken pictures of.

This blog is like a miniature diary for me. Without further a do, let me show you some of the pictures that I've taken. I admit they are not the best but I'm still trying my best to improve. So for the mean time, I would like to show you pictures that means so much to me because I've taken it by myself.

If anyone want to use the following pictures, you are welcome to! Just don't acclaim that its yours. They means so much to me. Thank you!

No more BS. Let the pictures speak for themselves.

We are trying. We are struggling.

Do you know the feeling when you really want to be happy and bubbly but you just can't? Have you ever suddenly feel so down that it seems like life is over? You don't know how many times I've felt like that before my fellow friends.

When you're feeling down, you have no one to talk to because you know that your problem is stupid and nobody can help you, nobody can give you any advice or comfort because even you yourself can't help yourself. How is anyone suppose to even help you? People can't even be bothered.

There are many time because I felt like that, so my other solution is to tell social media. Don't deny it that you haven't have the same thought as me before. Okay, then you decide to tell the whole wide world how you feel. For instance, I'm feeling sad today. Okay, posted in every social media you possibly have. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat. What ever freaking social media you have. Then, people would be like judging you. Like, "why the heck is telling everyone how she feels?" "Does she want people to notice her?" "Does she want people to pity her?" "Does she want act all emotional and mysterious?" "She should just keep it between herself." "Why would she tell other people anyway?" "Drama Queen." Hah! You're being judged. Okay fine.

So you're afraid of being judged, the only last choice you have is. To keep it to yourself. Not tell anyone your problem. Just keep it inside bro, don't let it out. Wait for it. You're just going to be judged. Again. "Why is she so quiet?" "She is so anti-social." "What is wrong with her?" "Does she hate people?" "I think she hates us."

This is where I'm really going to start off. Fellow friends, no matter what you do, people have the tendency to judge others even if they say they don't. Whether you're good or bad, good looking or ugly, short or tall, outspoken or quiet, anything that you can think of, people will still judge because it's our nature and we can't avoid it.

If you're unhappy, tell your friends. If they don't care, it's okay. God will care. If the social media don't care, it's okay. God will. If you're bearing all the sadness inside of you and you feel like you're suffocating, it's okay. God will make it all better. It's true.

When I was in the process of writhing this post, to be honest, I'm not in a really good mood so I want to write everything out like just blah blah blah. Who cares if no ones want to read my stupid post. There are my stupid post. As I was writing, I felt better then I thought to myself that, writing really does help me release everything. But actually, God was up there doing all the work he possible can to help me feel better. I finally knew why. It's was actually Him helping me through these struggles.

I was actually thinking of ending the post all inspirational quotes blah blah blah to make my post obviously more meaningful. But as I'm writing, I'm feeling more light-weight and free. I don't want to end my post with depressing stuff. I'm ending it with a thanks to The Almighty God above.

So let's get back to the point that we're talking from the start, No matter how good you are, how perfect you are, people are still going to judge you no matter what.

So why don't make things easier for yourself, right? Be comfortable in your own skin. Be true to your heart. So if people judge you, so what? Why would you be affected if it's not true? Just ignore it. Even if it does hurt you, its going to be alright soon. Time heals everything. Even you think its not true but wait and see. Time really does heal fellow friends. In 2 years time or even 5 or 10 years, you'll think about it and just laugh it out.

Fellow friends, be happy. Be happy and joyful. Believe that He is beside you to protect you, to comfort you, to cheer you up. You are going to be alright. Yes, you are. You are truly blessed to be here on this earth. You are loved.

God bless you and have a great day!

Sincerely,
Sarah

A Malaysian Delicacy // Nasi Lemak

Village Park Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

Village Park Restraurant is one of the most famous Nasi Lemak places in Malaysia. More accurately in Damansara Utama.
Let me tell you one thing, I have always been wanting to go there! Cause I heard about it before on TV.
This Nasi Lemak restaurant has been on Asian Food Wars of Food Network that why I was so excited to try it!

To let you guys know, I'm from the East of Malaysia, so its a rare chance that I get to try West Malaysian food.
Because I'm currently studying here now, so I get this opportunity!

YESSSHHHHHHHH

Without further a do, let's see that amazing plate of Nasi Lemak!
Finally, had a taste of the renowned Nasi Lemak!

This is how it looks.
Like normal Nasi Lemak with fragrant rice, sambal, hard-boiled egg, some cucumbers, ikan bilis and peanuts.
And not forgetting the main attraction! The large homemade chicken thigh!

You can see how delicious it is that I finished the whole plate!
p.s I usually don't waste my food so this is normal. hah!

So if you never tried it before, you must go for a try!
Believe me its worth it! I'm not kidding!

PRICE : A little bit pricey for a plate of Nasi Lemak which cost RM 9-10. But for the size of the chicken thigh, it's worth it!
ENVIRONMENT : There are air-conditioning, so don't worry. But the cleanliness is not as clean as I though it would be but it was alright.
It was hard to find parking around the area so if you're driving, I would take some time to find a parking.
SERVICE : It was alright. Would not expect too much. And not too low either!

Village Park Restaurant
   Opening Hours: 07:00 – 20:00 Monday – Saturday; 07:00 – 18:00 Sunday

Face Lift

The New Look!

This is the new look of my blog like finally.
Been doing quite a lot of arrangements cause that last one was really outdated, it's embarrassing.
And I'm quite satisfied already. I went to some other blogger's website to look for some inspiration, and yea, it did gave me a lot but there blogs were just too classic and too beautiful..

And I don't know how to design my blog till it reach that kind of level. But maybe I not at that level yet.
Still a amateur, hahah.

Don't ask for much, I'm already satisfied. It's simple as how I like it to be.
Nothing too bubbly, too girly, too moody, not too much of everything. Just right for me.

Hope people do enjoy what I have written even though it's nothing much.
But at least this is my starting point of writing (typing).

Happy reading!

A Day To Remember

THURS, 16 JUN 16 //

I'm finally back after all these years.
I have not updated my blog since 2013 and I do feel quite guilty about it.

Well, how I suddenly remember I had a blog?
My housemate is currently updating her blog and have asked to visit her blog. So, today I finally remembered to visit her blog and suddenly recall that I have a blog too!

I went searching for my blog and lucky enough, I found it!
It was supreme luck cause I have too many accounts and too many passwords to remember that it's getting confusing!

So.. I tried to log into my account but sadly I couldn't (at first). Then kept asking myself, did I used that wrong email to log in?  Believe me, there were millions of questions going through my brain and I was getting frustrated. Tried ever way possible.

The most basic way, ask Google.

Did some research, found some information, followed some instructions..
Walaaa! Now you see me writing this post, hahhaha.
I'm so grateful for technology but so frustrated as well as its improving every day. I had to catch up of all the updates of Blogger from 2013 suddenly to 2016.

Anyways, I think this is 'A Day To Remember'.
I scroll through all my past blog post and they were hilarious!
I laughed my butts off and so did my friends when I showed it to them.
But, I still couldn't believe I wrote stuff like that at my age back then.
They were quite well written I have to say. I am a teeny tiny bit proud of myself.

I hope I'll be more active in writing, most importantly writing in my blog.
Hope to change things up a bit, as my blog's design is outdated and it needs a fresh look.

Last but not least, thank you my friend for (indirectly) letting me know that I still have this blog and have the mood to write in it again. Thank you so much, for letting me back into this experience again.

5th of May 2013 (PRU13)

Yesterday was the 13th General Election Day for Malaysia.
I'm sure to many Malaysian,
Yesterday was such as important event.

Citizen of Malaysia went to cast their vote.
Choosing the leader for their respective places.
I'm sure that all the voters would want the person they choose to win.
For those whom won in the 13th General Election,
I would like to congratulate you
and hope that you would lead Malaysia
with all your heart and sincerity.

Do not use tricks to gain your vote
because at last you are the one that feel guilty.
Do not use the position that you gain
to do some thing unpleasant.
Please treat every Malaysian at the same basis.
And don't be racist.

Like everyone keep saying 1Malaysia.
 It's a good concept.
But if everyone is being racist against each other,
This concept/slogan would be of no meaning.
If you want to be treat well, make sure you treat others well too.

Last night, they were suppose to announce the result at 7.30pm(according to estimation)
But I waited really long for the results.
Around 8pm++, the results were started to be announced.
Somehow, I don't know why the result at Sarawak were the fastest.
I think some mistakes were happening throughout the counting process,
I think that's why the result for other places except Sarawak
were announce quite late.

I was very attentive throughout the result
because I'm a Sabahan and the result at Sabah were very late.
I wait for a long time, eventhough I have exam on the next day.
I stayed up very late till 2am
But I wasn't sleepy at all.
Well, of course I didn't have enough sleep.

I think 13th General Election for me is an important event
Because this age I'm more
attentive about politics and things happening around our country.
I'm very excited because maybe on the 14th General Election
I would maybe get the chance to cast my vote!
Cheers!

I pray that the coming 4 or 5 years to come
Would be good
Hope nothing terrible would happen.

Pray that this year's election,
We made our right decision.
Pray that this year's election,
everything was fair and the method used to win was not involve in corruption .
Pray for a better Malaysia
in the years to come.
